Dreamy Outdoor Los Angeles Maternity Session

There is nothing better than capturing those sweet moments before your whole world turns upside down, but in a good way of course. It was so special capturing this dreamy outdoor Los Angeles maternity session with these two. I am so excited for these two on this next new journey into parenthood, especially because they are two of my dear friends. Watching them take on this new life together is so sweet and I am so excited to share the beautiful moments we captured at their outdoor maternity session.

Something super unique about this session was the location. We had a few hiccups that came up when planning out the session location and I happened to find this special little area off of the highway that turned out perfect. These two were very onboard with whatever I had in my creative mind and let me go for it and I am so happy they did. It was a little bit of a gloomy day but I thought it really added a unique vibe to the session, plus there was a mix of different type terrains all within walking distance that made for such a variety of photos.

We started out in the open entry area. When you first see it you don’t think much of it, but I knew I saw something special with the way that the hills and trees surrounded the area, I think they looked amazing!

I found another location that was a little more intimate with sun shining through the trees, some cactus and a little pathway for some special hand holding moments.

Towards the end of the session, it got really dreamy with the sunset. They did an outfit change and it was a perfect way to mix things up a bit. Whenever I have clients wanting to do an outfit change, I always recommend choosing one dressier option and something a little more casual, in this instance a hat and jean jacket did the trick.
