This timeless in home newborn session in Moorpark California was such a sweet and special session for these first time parents. I love incorporating touches from the home to make it feel unique to each session. This family had a lot of blue tones in their home so I incorporated aspects of that in their session. It went so well with my white neutral swaddle I brought as well as beautiful babies olive skin tone.

I was lucky enough to capture these two for their maternity session as well and had such a blast getting to know them both. Becoming a parent is seriously one of the hardest things in the world and these two were already killing it one week in! So many beautiful moments from this session. We started out with solo shots of the little babe, something I generally do when I start my newborn sessions out is capture the sleepy photos of baby before we end with family photos where it’s not quite as important if they are more awake.

This mama designed his nursery so perfectly! It matched the rest of their home with the blue accents and all the cute details came together so perfectly. One of my favorite shots ever during a newborn session is capturing mama with her baby in the rocker. It’s one of my favorite places to hold my own baby and might be the most used nursery item to date. We actually happened to have the same one, it is the comfiest, great for small spaces and truly so reasonably priced-check it out here!

Baby boy fell asleep again in mamas arms and it made for the perfect moments captured with both mom and dads hands wrapped around him, truly such a timeless moment.

We ended with family photos of these sweet three! We even snuck in some photos with their amazing pup. Absolutely love including photos of your fur babies so much- I mean, they are such an important part of the family right?!
