There is no better feeling than finding a new beautiful location to shoot at, it’s like a little kid on Christmas morning for a photographer. This maternity session at Cheeseboro Canyon Trail was so dreamy! Mama to be was open to trying a new spot I have never shot at before and I was so excited she was because this place was magical. The amount of green that we were surrounded by was very non California like and the hills behind us were full of so much texture and depth. 

I am so excited for these two, they have been together for eleven years and this new journey is going to be such an exciting chapter of their life together. I had met Olivia and Scott briefly before at a wedding I shot a couple years ago but never had the chance to really get to know them until our session. Seriously, they’re the sweetest! I love when I am done with a session and feel refreshed, excited and just SO happy and that’s exactly what I felt after this session.

I love that Olivia chose a neutral dress, a creamy beige or white dress is never ever a bad idea. It goes with any type of background- albeit green like our session, tan, sand tones or the blue ocean-truly so many options. Olivia was glowing and was such a fun person to be around, you know those people who are just really happy and loving life? That was Olivia and she is gunna make the best mama.

My goal for every session or wedding is to deliver photos you are absolutely in love with but I also want to make my sessions fun, especially for the guys. I rarely meet a guy that enjoys taking photos and they are almost always a little nervous even if they don’t want to admit it. One of my main priorities is to make our session feel like we’re just hanging out as friends and casually taking photos. We always have fun, that is guaranteed- for Olivia and Scott that was absolutely the case, it was a blast working with them!

I truly enjoyed capturing these amazing, special memories for Olivia and Scott. They are going to make such wonderful parents and I am so lucky and honored they asked me to capture this adventure for them!
