It is natural, providing for such amazing shots of rolling hills, fields and breathtaking trees. The landscape is truly a gem and it’s located in a great spot for anyone driving down from LA or up from San Diego.

Having a Fall family session at Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park is such a great spot to capture your photos you will use for your Christmas cards. They are so beautiful to send to your family and friends but also give such a timeless feel that you can use these all year long!

For family photos my goal is to capture both candid and portrait styled photos. I spend most of my time on the candid moments of you as a family because I feel like those tell so much of the story of your family. The tickles, the laughs and the hugs. Of course, since you likely will be using your photos for your Christmas cards, I absolutely make sure we capture the looking at the camera shot. I generally make sure that happens in the beginning of the session so we get those all in before the little ones become restless.

My favorite time to capture photos at Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park is when the sun is still a tiny bit bright but about ready to start lowering. Since there is a few hills and mountains, I always plan my sessions before sunset since it will get a lot darker faster versus somewhere like the beach.

This Fall family session at Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park was so fun, I captured this sweet family a few months back and it truly is so crazy how much the little ones change in only that short time. Sweet Braden is a mamas boy and I am so glad I was able to capture moments of him with his mama-these days do not last long.
