Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of the biggest events you will ever experience in your life. This spring newborn session in Camarillo California was a perfect example of how beautiful this time in your life is and how important it is to capture these moments because they disappear in what feels like overnight (like life happens so fast after having a baby, right?)
Having an in home newborn session is one of my favorites and it is the perfect place to have your first shoot with your little one. This session was so sweet, capturing the calmness of being at home with their new little bundle of joy. The intimate setting of being in the home always allows for peace and ease (as much as possible) for mama, not having to pack up all the million items you need to bring to an outing with a newborn. However, I know there are some people that don’t love the look of their home at the moment or they feel like there isn’t ample lighting. That’s when an outdoor shoot can totally be an option and absolutely be manageable plus stress free. Here is an outdoor newborn session that was captured so beautifully, a great option to still capture those moments even if you don’t feel like your home is photoshoot ready.
Things that I love to focus on throughout my newborn sessions (in home or outdoors) is baby solo, baby with mom and dad and of course I always capture those special details of their features and depending on the location details of where we are/possibly their nursery setup too. My style is super organic and real so I want it to feel like you are in the moment when looking back at these images, less of perfection and more raw and real.
Whether you choose to have your newborn session in the home or outdoors, these memories are so important and are one of the few things you can keep as your child grows (and again, it happens SO quickly). I hope that this spring newborn session in Camarillo California was a perfect example of how these moments are captured and the beauty that they bring to your home.
