Those first few weeks of the newborn life are so timeless and crazy. They are tough at times but they are so fleeting and feel like they are gone before you even figured anything out. I always aim to shoot newborn sessions in the morning when the light is bright yet soft inside the home. I will choose the rooms that have the best options for lighting. The light coming in during the morning is often warm and natural versus a brighter session outside.
